Most of our regular reader probably know that we would need to relocate anytime soon (we hope the soon won’t come so soon) as the land where the shelter is occupying are part of a future development project. Click here to read about it.

Fast forward to this year.. we had acquire a land far far away ( no choice as property price in Klang Valley is WAY too expensive for us ) in Hulu Langat as the shelter’s new location. Click here to check out our new place.

Marital Bliss

Taking a break from our usual posts on the latest happenings at the shelter, Second Chance would like to dedicate this blog post to a special couple, Richard and Jessie, who recently just got married. Wedding pictures have always been something sacred and beautiful on its own, but this couple took their wedding photos to a whole new level by including their dogs, Rex and Macy! 

For the benefit of those readers who are not aware, Macy was one of our shelter dogs who was adopted by this lovely couple. Richard and Jessie had brought Macy to revisit the shelter, not too long ago. 

 Rex (black dog with white spots) and Macy (white dog with black spots) were included in some of their wedding pictures.

We can be sure that Macy is in good hands. What with two lovely humans who care for her as well as Rex, a male Border Collie (who also belongs to Richard and Jessie). 

Though a little overdue, Second Chance sincerely wishes all the best to Richard and Jessie for their future together, along with their two dogs, Rex and Macy.    

Blooming Flower

If you are looking for a dog which is:

- intelligent

- friendly and sweet-natured

- not too big

- low maintenance

then Flower might just be the right one for you!

A few months back when Second Chance had a training programme for selected dogs, Flower came out as one of the fastest learners. You can read more about the programme here.

She is also really good with humans. She seems to think that hand-licking is the key to a human's heart - not saying her theory is wrong!

Flower would make a good family dog. She will be able to learn tricks very quickly and is very patient and tolerable with her human masters.

Trust me, I witnessed Flower during her training sessions!

Make you go awwwww…

The pictures say it all… this new rescued pup just melt our hearts away with his maximum cuteness.. For a pup, he is pretty independent too.. Usually when a puppy is left alone, they will be crying non-stop for attention. But this tough boy here doesn’t seemed mind to be left alone.

Pups in need of home : Winnie and Vincci

Winnie and Vincci were one month old when they were found in the middle of a road in Cheras. A passerby took pity and rescued them when their mother was run over by a car. They were cared for by him in his apartment for few nights before sending to our shelter. Aren’t their floppy ears just adorable? And what about their soulful eyes, pleading you to take them home with you… Please do write to us if you like to adopt them.

Meet Eric. He is a 3 month old male brown pup. Just look at his cute furry face!!

The 2 white pups are one month old when they were found in the middle of a road in Cheras, their mother was run over by a car and a passer-by took pity of them and rescued them and put in his apartment for few nights before sending to our shelter. They are both female, given names as Winnie and Vincci by us.


Amy is the black 6 mth old female dog that were found wondering around in Cheras area ( Taman Yu Nik).




These puppies are in need of new homes. If you ever need a nice companion in your home. Please, don't feel hesitant at all and come by to adopt these cute furry friends!!!

Best Furry Frens Forever ~ BFFF~

The furry frens, like most of us, have their bffs.
BFFF # 1 : Wai Wai and Mel Mel ( Caramel )


Aren’t their playfulness and cheerfulness a sight to behold? Wai Wai has been adopted during our last adoption drive… Mel Mel has been looking a little forlorn since then.. Just like we will when we miss our BFF.
We really hope a kind soul would be able to give Mel Mel a loving home. Mel is a very cheerful and tough chic (her scar on her back is a testament of how tough she is). She absolutely loves human companion and will love you unconditionally.

Gelang’s guardian angel :)

Maya has dropped by the shelter again, and this time she has choose lucky Gelang to be her “adoptee”. Gelang was one of the many dogs dumped at our shelter over a year ago. As with many case of strays, Gelang was very wary of human and will always flee when we tried to approach her. But that was a year ago and now Gelang has learned to trust the volunteers at the shelter who feed her on daily basis.

My Name is Lily

Hello, my name is Lily. I was rescued from Puchong and have been in Second Chance since. In human years, I am two years old.

My friend, Lala was adopted by Ben not too long ago. We were very good friends and always had each other to play with. But now that Lala has found a new home.. I am lonely!

I am looking for an owner who will love and care for me. And in return, I will do the same for them. I am a quiet and gentle girl. But I am also friendly and... and, I can be 'manja' with people I care about. *blushing* I guess I am very suitable for you if you need a companion, a friend. It doesn't matter how old my owner is, I will still love the young and old alike.

Mrs Lai has been very kind as to foster me for the past few weeks. She was also my rescuer. She says that I am "a very adorable and lovely girl". She seems to like it when I roll over to let her rub my tummy. Hehe.
