Barbie The Princess

Sorry for the blurry pic... She is too hyperactive & its not easy to take her pic

We visited barbie last night to hand over her vaccination card to his owner, Mr chua.

When we saw Barbie came out from her princess room, we spotted her big fat tummy immediately. The next thing is the big compound outside her room.

Wow~ She has her own very big compound to run around. According to Mr Chua, there are times that Barbie doesnt feel so ' princessy', she will help him out in doing the gardening . He showed us her gardening spots, the slippers & shoes rack chewed by her. Luckily, Mr Chua understand the puppy behaviour & bought her a lot ot chewbones & Jerhigh.

Oh ya, she is also paper-trained as peeing on the grass doesn't seem so 'princessy'. Haha!

Barbie girl: Jeh Jeh, you are leaving now? Please send my regards to all the aunties & also my 4-legged friends! I miss them tremendously~
*Can you spot her fat tummy?*

Our 4 new Members

black eyedEllenP2240011Simon

P2240009 KaraP2240010 Randy

They are picked up from the wet market again! They are spotless, very clean so its obvious they put there on purpose. They have this sad look.We suppose they are scare after being dumped in an unfamiliar surrounding. If anyone out there can offer them a place in your house, please do so. They need love and care.

Excuse me…Uncle..

“Excuse me Uncle.when we say we found new puppies, we do not jump with joy”

Uncle thinks we are selling puppies. What a thought he has. He does see us collecting money from kind adopters who donates to support our work, some will reimburse us for the puppies who had their vaccinations. We have to remind him about the medical care we seek for all the problem pups. Mind you their medical cost incurred do burn holes in all of our pockets….something which he does not see….isszz.!!

Look at these poor puppies. They sure do need treatment.

What a thought . The last thing that comes to our mind is to MAKE MONEY out of these poor PUPS!!!!

Hello Happy!

PC250193

Remember this little furry friend?

Yes, he is Kiki renamed Happy. He was adopted last Christmas by Mr Gan. Mr Gan is very pleased with him as he is very obedient though he still have the biting and chewing habit. Happy gets to run around his garden freely and does help Mr Gan with gardening ! He digs holes all round the garden but Mr Gan still find him adorable. As usual very picky in his food.Who wouldn’t if they know they have choices, huh? They are actually very smart.

Mr Gan hope Happy brings you and your family happiness all day long!

Well done, Jacky Boy!

May Jenn with her new friend, Jacky (21/02/2010)

Thank you Kathryn & her daughter (May Jenn) for giving our new pup a loving home. They renamed him Jacky.

Mrs Lai picked up this 5-week-old pup from the bushes where Sai E used to stay. He was there running around all alone. Mrs Lai decided its not safe for such a young pup running around & this lil pup ended up in the temple. He looks exactly like one of Sai E's pup - Reiki (renamed Sleepy).

This is one of Sai E's pup - Reiki. Not Jacky.

May Jenn & Kathryn fell in love with this adorable pup right away after seeing him being confined in the newcomer's cage. 2 hours after bringing the pup home, Kathryn smsed us n said:
"We just dewormed him & bought him a nice food container / cage. Hopefully he will get used to our cat."

All the best, Jacky boy! We know you will bring tonnes of joy & laughter to Kathryn n family! And please, be good friends with Kathryn's cat. Don't be notti ya!

A Busy Weekend

Umee

We brought Sai E & her 'flatmate' - Amber a.k.a FeiMui to the vet on last Sunday & Guess what? We met Umee!!! Who Umee? Umee is our beloved Blackie who has been adopted by Ms Lim from PJ. We were planning to visit Ms Lim & Umee to pass her Umee's vaccination card. End up we went to the vet on the same day, same time.

Umee has just been with Ms Lim a few weeks & can you spot the difference? She put on weight & her coat is so soft & shiny now!

She went to the vet for her 2nd vaccination & deworming.

According to Ms Lim, Umee is eating well & getting along with her Shihtzu puppy very well. Even Ms Lim's mother-in-law sayang Umee a lot & just bath her before Umee came for vaccination.

Thank you Ms Lim for giving Umee a loving home =))

By knowing that our rescued puppies have gone to loving homes actually drive us to work harder in rescuing n rehoming the strays.

Umee looks so posh with her red collar & harness!

And she is very well behaved, sitting there while waiting for Ms Lim to settle the medical bill.

Rocky: I miss you dearly, Blackie. I am happy that you have a loving owner now. Wish me luck in finding a good home!

Sai E's Bloody Stool

Finally, finally, we found out the cause of Sai E's bloody stools after a few trips to different vets!

Fyi, Sai E been having watery / muddy / bloody stool on and off since Ms Leong has been fostering her. But so far she has been eating well & active. She loves her daily walk & she is so homely now. Once she is done with her daily walking routine, she can't wait to go back to Ms Leong's house. Walking her is so easy-peasy as compared to the 1st week when we fostered her. We need to hold her & put her on the grass so that she will do her business as she refused to walk on leash.

Sai E has hookworms & that explains why she been having bloody stool on-and-off. So we need to deworm her monthly. And good news! She just got her very 1st vaccination after being a stray dog for 5 years!

Sai E showing us her 'emo' face after getting her 1st jab & dewormer

SoftBall The Smartie Pie

The fosterer (Noel) told us Softball has stop eating for 2 days although he is still running around actively. We picked him up from Noel's house & sent him to the vet on Saturday. Gosh! Looks like we are visitng the vet on a daily basis. He was having high fever & viral infection. Dr Lee said he is recovering now & enjoying his I/D canned food.

Get well soon Softball! We wish you a speedy recovery!

Oh ya... Softball is also up for adoption!

Softball is a collie-mixed that we claimed from DBKL dog pound just before CNY. He is about 3 months old & weighs around 3.1kg (only!!!). He is smart & obedient, responds to the command "come". He loves human touch & it takes only 1 milisecond to warm up with him.

Please contact Sam @ 012-2900215 if you are interested in adopting Softball.

Thank You

We would like to thank Petster Magazine and Petfinder.my for bringing in potential adopters for our rescued furry friends.

To Jansen,Sarah and Ah Fatt who visited us, thank you for your kind donation to our furry friends. We are very touched that you all appreciate what we are doing and your sincerity in letting us know that you realise that you all are not ready to adopt at the moment. We truly hope you all will be a pet owner in due course.

Our Greatest Fear…..

We have yet to see the eviction letter from the Authority as it was sent to the temple committee. Its seems that our D Day is on the 27th of this month… We are lost at the moment……what shall we do?

The 8 new little pups still need medical treatment for their skin before anyone one will adopt them unless they are understanding enough to treat them themselves. They are very cute and innocent if only one were to really spend some time to discover their innocence.

Our 17 rescued 3to4 months puppies and dogs, where will they go?

Will they harm our resident dogs?

…….Silver Lining for the Day

tinkerbell

Just when we worry about Furball and Softball as we cannot bring them back to the temple, Sam brightened up our day.

Her parents who is fostering tiny Tinkerbell fell in love with her and decided to adopt her. Sam is not too keen of the idea as she herself have 5 other dogs to manage(At least she knows her limit) . We jokingly told her that her parents are entitled to be our Privileged Adopters. To such fosterer and adopter we will let them have another pup/dog to show our appreciation. Ha! Ha! Ha!……

We Wonder……..

We wonder…….. Why are we so afraid of the Authority coming?

P1060286

Is saving lives legally wrong?

Are what we are doing a SIN?

Is it a crime to find loving homes for the unfortunate?

Is it so shameful to do what we are doing?

If the answer is ‘YES’ . Tell us what need to be done to be someone who can live happily even seeing some other living being surfer.

We have asked the permission from the temple committee to build a transit home for the unfortunate doggies. We too know that we can not keep so many of them here and nothing beats a loving home.

Don’t you think that we are helping to reduce the stray problem in town? Why do they not see this point. We prevent the unfortunate from been a nuisance to those who don’t take pity on them…We are not doing this for our own benefit. We do not get richer materially instead we do get a lot of heartaches and burnt pockets!

Off course we do feel happy if we can find a loving home for these unfortunate.Sometimes reluctantly too we have to let them go to homes where they are required for what they are good at – to guard the owner’s home . As long as they are not abused and have a place call HOME we cannot deny them this opportunity. We cannot keep them here forever though we love to.

What’s Next…????

Our extension is ready, we have confined the pups in so that they do not roam around the front of the temple to avoid people from complaining. Do you think we are able to find homes for these puppies before the Authority come in?

We wonder. They just came in this afternoon and asked us to tear down EVERYTHING! They gave us 3 days. We hope we hear wrongly. Our happiness are DASHED…… We are lost in words…..

After planning for so long not only sourcing for funds but for unwanted materials around… this is what we faced immediately completing it…..what shall we do next????
